Here is my very first Instagram inspired challenge.
If you haven't seen my Instagram inspired challenges before, I challenge myself to create 9 different images from one original source photo (taken on an iPhone ) using only Instagram filters and adjustments. Who organised this challenge? - I did. Who is participating in this challenge? I am... and anyone else who's inspired to take part. What's the point of this challenge? It has no point - it's just my way of keeping my creative juices flowing and taking what inspires me (my surroundings, architecture, my travels), and turning it into a side creative project just for fun!
For my very first Instagram challenge, I was inspired by some beautiful wood carving detail of a church in Cartmel in the Lake District, Cumbria in England, where my husband and I went for the last Bank Holiday in August. As you can see, the original image is not particularly beautiful or special or well lit. However, it does have a ton of texture and different highlights and shadows and has enough detail to allow for different zooms and cropping. And if you don't follow me on Instagram, you might want to - I regularly upload lots of colourful images of London, my travels, my artwork and my jewellery / jewelry.
