Busy in the art studio preparing for May

I've been in the art studio all weekend working on some new mixed media artwork for my home open art studio event on May 7-8 (https://www.facebook.com/events/1143752035670289/) and for the Wimbledon art studio open art studios event May 12 - 15 (https://www.facebook.com/events/1288639227832098/) all as part of the Wandsworth Fringe festival in May. I'm making progress and I can't wait to show you my latest artwork at these fantastic events! And, you know you're doing good when the art studio floor is starting to look like an abstract work of art ;-)

Wandsworth Arts Fringe Festival - Artist Studio Open House - May 7-8

You're invited to my Artist Open House in Southfields (Southwest London) as part of the annual Wandsworth Arts Fringe Festival! My home art studio will be open all weekend from 10 am to 6 pm both Saturday May 7th and Sunday May 8th. For the official full press release, see below.   My exhibition for the Wandsworth Arts Fringe Festival is entitled "Gold Lust" and it will primarily showcase my latest artwork featuring gold leaf. Top Five Songs That Are Inspiring Me In the Art Studio this Month

I love music. My music taste is relatively eclectic spanning classical music, rock, rap, indie and pop. I listen to music all the time. When on the train or tube and definitely when in the studio. This month, I am particularly loving these five songs.   1.  Renegade by X Ambassadors – the words of this song really speak to me and I love the melody.  In a most uncool confession, I confess that actually I first heart this song on an ad on TV and tracked it down online.  But that's okay, I still love it and I hope you do too!   2.  Into the Wild by LP – confusingly, the woman who sings this song goes by...

Love London Architecture? Love Colour? Why Not Check Out My Third Instagram Challenge Featuring the Royal Albert Hall!

Here is my third Instagram inspired challenge. If you haven't seen my Instagram inspired challenges before, I challenge myself to create 9 different images from one original source photo (taken on an iPhone ) using only Instagram filters and adjustments.  Who organised this challenge? - I did.  Who is participating in this challenge? I am... and anyone else who's inspired to take part.  What's the point of this challenge?  It has no point - it's just my way of keeping my creative juices flowing and taking what inspires me (my surroundings, architecture, my travels), and turning it into a side creative project just for fun! This time, my focus was the gorgeous Royal Albert Hall which I went to Christmas...
