Twelve Days of an Art Lover's Christmas

My 12 Days of an Art Lover's Christmas

Whether you're loving all the Black Friday deals, excited about Cyber Monday, or choosing to opt out, it's hard to forget that Christmas is just one month away.  Whether you're looking for a gift for a friend, or a family member, why not chose the thoughtful gift of art!

This year, I'm helping you find the perfect artful gift by launching the Twelve Days of an Art Lover's Christmas.  Each day over the next twelve days, I'll launch a new collection online focusing on my most giftable artworks.  All artworks are priced under £100, with most being well under £50 and are a selection of prints and small artworks that I have created.  Some artworks are brand new and have never been shown before, others are studies direct from my art studio that have never been seen before.  To keep the prices as budget friendly as possible, these prints are available exclusively through my website.  Join me as I share with you some never seen before artworks perfect for the Christmas gifting season!

Day 1 - Original Handmade Floral Monochrome Screenprint Limited Edition Flower Artwork - Echo

I present my brand new never seen before monochrome limited edition screenprints entitled "Floral Echo".  These stylish prints feature elegant flowers, focus on the negative space created by the reverse of the screen, and are entirely made by me.  From my original flower drawing to hand cutting the stencil to applying black acrylic paint, all aspects of my vintage book artwork is made with love by me right here in London. All aspects of the process are entirely done by hand (nothing is printed) ensuring that each print is entirely unique.  I have created ten floral designs, and each floral design print is limited to an edition of 200. The handmade nature of the screenprint process and fact that I use acrylic paint (rather than screen printing ink), ensure that each print is entirely different from the next.  These prints are size A3, can fit in a standard frame size A3 or 30 cm x 40 cm (showing some mount), and are particularly striking presented in multiples.  They are only £24.95 each.  Click here to see the full selection.

Day 2 - Floral Abstract Pattern Artworks

I present my brand new never seen before mixed media artworks combining bold grafitti-like floral shapes on top of abstract patterns with vivid colours.  These mixed media paintings are based on my abstract pattern drawings made on paper using liquid acrylic ink and calligraphy ink and are then drawn on with acrylic paint, pencil, and charcoal. I love flowers and my two favourite flowers to draw and paint because of their elegant curvy lines are calla lilies and tulips.  With these drawings, I wanted to combine flowers with a purely abstract pattern combining bright vivid colours and bold black and white patterns. My original paintings are size A2 (59 cm x 42 cm) - they work particularly well in a standard 50 cm x 70 cm frame, and are particularly striking presented in multiples.  They are only £49.95 each.  Click here to see the full selection.

Day 3 - Original Handmade Floral Colourful Reverse Screenprint Flower Artwork

I present my popular colour reverse screenprints featuring various flowers in vibrant joyful colour combinations.   These handmade prints are very popular with visitors to my open houses in my home as they are a budget friendly way to introduce some bright colour on your walls. They are each made entirely by hand by me using acrylic paint and focusing on the negative space created by the reverse of the screen.  From my original flower drawing to hand cutting the stencil to applying the acrylic paint, all aspects of the process are entirely done by hand (nothing is printed) ensuring that each print is entirely unique.  These prints are size A3, can fit in a standard frame size A3 or 30 cm x 40 cm (showing some mount), and are particularly striking presented in multiples.  They have never been sold online before, and are only £19.95 each. Click here to see the full selection.

Day 4 - Original Abstract Ink Study Spiral Shape Artworks

For Day 4 of my 12 Days of an Art Lover's Christmas, I present my ink studies focusing on geometric shapes - spirals.  Inspired by one of the most commonly found shapes in nature, I created these mixed media artworks a few years ago when I first started using inks - calligraphy ink and liquid acrylic ink. Prior to then, I was using pastel and coloured pencil as my medium of choice. With these artworks, or ink studies, I really wanted to master the flow of the inks.  The differences between how the calligraphy ink and the liquid acrylic ink react with water and with the watercolour paper.  I wanted to learn how the two inks react with each other and how to best use them to complement each other in my artworks.  My ink studies are purely abstract, can be displayed vertically or horizontally, and size A2 (59 cm x 42 cm) - they work particularly well in a standard 50 cm x 70 cm frame, and are particularly striking presented in multiples.  They are only £49.95 each.  Click here to see the full selection.

Day 5 - Original Handmade Floral Monochrome Screenprint Limited Edition Flower Artwork

I present my brand new never seen before monochrome limited edition screenprints entitled "Floral Elegance".  These stylish prints feature elegant flowers, use a monochrome black and white colour combination, and are entirely made by me.

Day 6 - Original Abstract Ink Study Protective Eye Artwork

For Day 6 of my 12 Days of an Art Lover's Christmas, I present my ink studies focusing on the protective eye.  Inspired by the myth and legend of many cultures, to use the symbol of the eye as a protective amulet to protect against the "evil eye", I created these mixed media artworks a few years ago when I first started using inks - calligraphy ink and liquid acrylic ink. At the time I made these artworks, I had been travelling quite a bit and "seeing the world" was one of my main goals.  As part of this explorative travelling phase, I was particularly drawn to the legend of the protective eye both because of the symbolic protection it offers, and because of the eye being the way that you see the world.

Day 7 - Original Handmade Floral Vintage Music Book Monochrome Art Nouveau Screenprint Flower Artwork

For Day 7 of my 12 Days of an Art Lover's Christmas, I present my popular floral acrylic screenprints on genuine vintage music sheet paper.  I love vintage books and giving them a new life as beautiful and unique wall art. I think the combination of the modern sleek black flowers and the timeless beauty of the vintage books creates a truly stunning piece of art. I hope you agree!  From sourcing the old books from around the world (London, Isle of Wight, Bulgaria, Serbia, France, and lots of others), to my original flower drawing to hand cutting the stencil to applying black acrylic paint, all aspects of my vintage book artwork is made with love by me right here in London. All aspects of the process are entirely done by hand (nothing is printed). I only use genuine vintage music books that focus on classical music and include a variety of the most well known composers.

My unique stylish monochrome artwork on vintage music sheet paper has a distinctly art nouveau theme focusing on nature and flowers. I have made ten designs in total and each design is available in a limited edition of 200 with each one being entirely handmade (nothing is printed!) by me. Since vintage music books are all different in size, the size of each individual one-of-a-kind artwork slightly varies and is between size A3 and A4, and are all presented on a 30 cm x 40 cm mount to protect the fragile vintage paper and to enable for easier framing. They work well in a standard 30 cm x 40 cm frame, and are particularly striking presented in multiples.  They are only £29.95 each. Click here to see the full collection.

Day 8 - Original Pure Abstract Patterns Ink Study Artwork

For Day 8 of my 12 Days of an Art Lover's Christmas, I present my ink studies focusing on purely abstract compositions.  I created these mixed media artworks a few years ago when I first started using inks - calligraphy ink and liquid acrylic ink. And I wanted to explore other subject matters that were more abstract and not purely representational.  I wanted to explore patterns, and the combination of graphic black and white repeating patterns alongside more free flowing colourful flowing colours.

My ink studies are purely abstract, can be displayed vertically or horizontally, and size A2 (59 cm x 42 cm) - they work particularly well in a standard 50 cm x 70 cm frame, and are particularly striking presented in multiples.  They are only £49.95 each.  Click here to see the full collection.

Day 9 - Original Abstract Ink Study Circle Geometric Shape Artworks

For Day 9 of my 12 Days of an Art Lover's Christmas, I present my ink studies focusing on geometric shapes - circles.

Click here to see the full collection.

Day 10 - Original Small Liquid Acrylic Ink and Calligraphy Ink Artworks

For Day 10 of my 12 Days of an Art Lover's Christmas, I present my original mixed media artworks featuring liquid acrylic ink and calligraphy ink on fine art textured paper that is specially manufactured in Italy. Of all the artworks that I am sharing as part of my 12 Days of the Art Lover’s Christmas, these paintings are the most recent. I am sharing two sizes and inspirations of my original artworks.

My smaller artworks (size 28 cm x 38 cm or 11 inches x 15 inches) are purely abstract compositions inspired by a mix of colours I worked with for a custom client artwork – sage green, orange, and grey. As they are purely abstract, they can be shown vertically or horizontally and would be particularly striking in pairs or in multiples. I have never shown these paintings before online or offline and I’m particularly excited to share them with you as this is a colour combination that I have fallen in love with. They are only £29.95 each.

The slightly larger artworks (size 32 cm x 41 cm or 12.5 inches x 16.25 inches) include my nature inspired landscapes, seascapes, and florals. They are only £49.95 each, which is a substantial savings to their normal price.  These artworks are popular with clients who love my work, but prefer a smaller piece to fit a smaller space. Day 11 - Original Abstract Ink Study Leaf Shape Artwork

For Day 11 of my 12 Days of an Art Lover's Christmas, I present my ink studies focusing on black and white bold patterns combined with flowing colours and including leaf shapes. These studies include some of the abstract patterns and bold colours that I have shared in some of my other series of artworks as part of my 12 Days of the Art Lover’s Christmas. But this time, I wanted to incorporate some stronger references to nature in the form of leaves, with either polka dot patterns or with oval shapes. I was influenced by peas in a pod and seashells. Visiting family at the Isle of Wight often, those are two distinct aspects of nature that I interact with when there. And I really wanted to bring in those influences of the garden and the coast into this series of artworks.

Day 12 - Limited Edition Fine Art Giclee Prints

For Day 12 of my 12 Days of an Art Lover's Christmas, I present the only giclee prints in my entire 12 Days of the Art Lover’s Christmas collection. Over the years, I’ve often been asked whether I can do giclee prints of my work to enable them to buy a super affordable piece of my art. For a long time, I didn’t do giclee prints as I wasn’t happy with the printing and scanning of my work – I thought the end result looked like a cheap poster. But since moving to the UK, I have started working with a specialty fine art photography printer who also scans and prints original artwork. The printer uses the latest technology to capture the image of my original artwork and print it using super quality lightfast inks on high-end Hahnemühle fine art paper.

The end result is a giclee print that is often mistaken for an original artwork. Each print is limited to an extremely small edition of only 10 prints.   The prints are size A3 (29.7 cm x 42 cm or 11.7 inches x 16.5 inches), or half the size of the original painting enabling the print to capture the details and the texture of the original. They work particularly well in a standard 30 cm x 40 cm frame, and are particularly striking presented in multiples.  They are only £19.95 each. Click here to see the full collection.
