Due to popular demand, I have created some smaller format original paintings. Still using my trademark technique and having the same bold colours and dynamic movement, these smaller paintings are perfect for smaller spaces. They are a budget friendly way to add some original artwork to your collection. They are size 31 cm x 41 cm (or about 12 inches x 16 inches) – perfect for a 40 cm x 50 cm standard frame. They are all mounted on a 40 cm x 50 cm high quality conservation grade acid-free mount to protect the artwork during display and shipping. The mount can be changed easily without damaging the original artwork. The painting is sold unframed.
My Seascape series are one of my most recent series of paintings showcasing a visually striking seascape. Featuring an elegant colour with bold colours and metallic accents, this artwork is beautiful, dramatic and inspiring. This painting features a dramatic waterscape with lots of lovely blues, from light blue to turquoise and indigo. The colours jump out of the paper with lots of wonderful movement and dynamic colour blending in the sky and the water. The horizon is a mixture of lots of shimmering iridescent metallic colours. I particularly love the way the different blue shades, from light to deep and saturated, have all combined together. My modern painting is made using premium liquid acrylic and other inks on luxury heavyweight Fabriano watercolour paper. The painting is signed on the front and back.
Even though I love living in London, I really love nature and its ability to transform us. I particularly love watching water – seas, oceans, lakes. I find water very calming and soothing. It reminds us of our place in the world, it reminds us of our dependence on nature and water to survive, and it reminds us of far off lands. I also love how connected water makes us – how water is cycled throughout the whole planet connecting all of us. There is something primal about our love of water – we need it to survive of course, but there is something that creates a sense of purpose and calmness when we look at it. At least it does for me. With these seascape paintings, I really wanted to showcase the variety of movement, textures, and different paint effects that I could create using just a very limited colour palette – only blues and metallic. Despite limiting my colour scheme to just those two categories, I think the boldness of the blues combined with the dynamic movement of the water and sky create dramatic seascapes for everybody to enjoy. I believe the end result is a truly unique and original piece of original art which certainly will make a bold statement.
